¡Feliz Año Nuevo!

During the last concentración back in November, the boys filmed their holiday messages.  With 2014 being a World Cup year, it was no surprise that the shiny gold trophy was mentioned time and again.

I do hope that 2014 will bring us many successes, including of course the World Cup.

Here’s the video featuring Sergio Ramos; Andrés Iniesta; PF Juan Mata and Álvaro Negredo; Xabi Alonso and Álvaro Arbeloa and Raúl Albiol; Juanfran Torres and Koke Resurrección; Jesús Navas; Santi Cazorla and Pepe Reina; Pedro Rodríguez; Javi Martínez; Nacho Monreal and Fernando Llorente; Marc Bartra and Iñigo Martínez and Alberto Moreno; and Vicente del Bosque.  Watch to the end to hear Pepe and Santi speak English!  Have a good day!

And here is the “tomas falsas” (outtakes) video, which is fantastic.  Look out for Raúl Albiol completely missing his cue, which leads to exasperation on the part of the rest of the A-team; Javi speaking German and singing in English; contagious laughter; attempts to coordinate without success; absent-mindedness, and lots of teasing and attempts to mess the others up from the off-camera players.

And the U-21 team filmed a video as well.  It features Kepa Arrizabalaga, Iker Muniain, Óliver Torres, Jairo Samperio and Gerard Deulofeu; José Campaña; Sergi Roberto; Álvaro Morata and Saúl Ñíguez; Pablo Sarabia; and Julen Lopetegui.

And of course, the “tomas falsas” video is hilarious, as was expected with the number of personalities on the team.  There are mistakes, a bit of singing (and in English!), players giving each other directions on what to do, teasing, and some cracking up and laughing that prove to be contagious.  Plus a chicken dance!  It is wonderful!
