Juan Mata at Marca Estilo
PF Juan Mata graces the cover of the “Marca Estilo” supplement, showing off the latest styles in watches, as he collaborates with IWC in his role as ambassador of the Laureus Foundation.
In the short article accompanying the pictures, PF says he’s very happy with how 2012 turned out, with the exception of the Olympic Games: “winning a medal would have closed out a magnificent season. But it wasn’t like that. I’m proud to have been an Olympic athlete, but not of what we did in London.”
As for his taste in watches, he says “it’s important that it’s comfortable, elegant and can be worn in any moment and on any occasion. I don’t like flashy ones, I prefer simple ones. In addition to telling the time, many watches are a manifestation of your style.” PF also reveals that he’d like to be more punctual than he is, so he usually adds a few minutes to the watch to try and be so. He also prefers manual watches.
And I prefer him.
