three and a half minutes with… Pedro

I didn’t think it was possible to answer “I don’t know” more times than David Silva, but Pedro did it!

And I guess Luis Martín finally got the answer he wanted to his snide Karanka question; that should make him happy.  Perhaps all of the descriptions of the players he starts his articles with will now be along the lines of what he wrote for Pedro: “Pedro never gets angry.  He hasn’t played a single minute in three games and he hasn’t lost his smile.  That’s how great Pedrito is.”  Compare this to his introduction for Raúl Albiol: “Raúl Albiol is called Chori, and he had a serious car accident.  He knows that if Puyol hadn’t gotten injured, he probably wouldn’t have been called up.”  Bias much?

  1. To act as a fool???? WOW! As if I didn’t hate Pedro enough…

  2. He is such a good little boy, no beer, a wee boring. But I love his answer on Karanka lol.

  3. I love the answers about Iker and Iniesta!

  4. I don’t know if I can ever like Pedro…and that Luis Martin really sounds like a gem (sarcasm). But saying that another player/former player/coach/assistant coach is “a fool” shouldn’t be acceptable no matter who it is…he could’ve just not commented

  5. I like Pedro and he is a good player, but it’s funny you mention Raul’s intro because if Villa wasn’t injured there would be a good chance Pedro wasn’t called up. And props to him for knowing how many did in Hillsborough.

    • Or you can make the case that if Villa was fit, there would be a good chance Torres wouldn’t be call up or Negredo wouldn’t be call up. Pedro (along with Navas) offers width that Spain sorely lacks as seen in their games so far. Latest news is that Pedro is the backup left-back. Quite essential if you ask me, considering that Alba is the only left back on the team.

  6. I seriously don´t understand “to pull a Karanka”, Who said this first? What does it mean? I know that Mourinho refused to speak to the press and sent Aitor instead, what what does “pull a Karanka” really mean?

    • I have no idea who used it first. I’ve heard it a bunch of different times and each time I’ve heard it used was in reference to doing a press conference.
