Iker and his two old friends

Iker posted this on his Facebook today: “I passed by the RFEF recently and I had the luck of finding two old “friends” there…”

It’s a good thing those two trophies are so beautiful (and doesn’t the World Cup look tiny next to the Eurocopa?) because Iker’s outfit is quite horrendous.  I hope he doesn’t show up like that next week to Las Rozas, but let’s be honest, he’s probably already booked a place on my worst dressed list.  Some people just never move off of it…

Do you think that if Iker one day decided that he wanted to hang out with these two old friends, or bring them to a party at his house, would the RFEF lend these cups to him?  (First, they’d probably have to see if Sergio is on the guest list, and if he is, the answer would probably be no.)  After all, Iker was the first person they ever met from their new home of Spain, and so I’m sure they have a special affection for him, just like we do, no?

  1. Ha ha ha ha, I saw this on Facebook, but what I love about your post is all the witty commentary that goes along with things the boys say or do! Especially to check if Sergio would be on the guest list :). Or clever angles like he was the first person from Spain the trophies ever met. Thanks for the blog!

  2. That was EXACTLY what I thought about the size of the trophies drawing attention away from his outfit! Why can’t Xabi just take Iker shopping one day? I’d be eternally grateful.

  3. They’d probably have to see if Sergio is on the guest list, and if he is, the answer would probably be no…

Poor Sergio is never going to live that down, is he? Pobrecito! :-p

Do you think the RFEF might let Iker’s friends take him out on a little shopping trip? They, after all, are much more stylishly-attired than he is… and they would just be showing their love for him by burning the entire contents of his wardrobe.

  4. aww but Sergio will ALWAYS be on the guest list! haha. I think it’s okay though, they haven’t met the Copa del Rey yet since the incident! (or have they?)

  5. Yes! I agree with debsen’s comment too! so witty una! :o) jajaja! my favorite, aside from the very obvious sergio comment,
“Iker was the first person they ever met from their new home of Spain,”

  6. (First, they’d probably have to see if Sergio is on the guest list, and if he is, the answer would probably be no.)

bwaahahaha! poor sergio. he is NEVER going to live that down. pobrecito.

i think the fact that iker can’t seem to dress himself is one of his most endearing qualities. it saves him from being TOO perfect! ;p

    great post, una!

  7. Thank you for this! Iker is a fashion disaster, but look at Sara and her tragic boot and shoe choices. They are a fashion, tragic couple…..

Are you going to post excerpts of Pepe’s book? Maybe it’s less of a tragedy since it’s written in English.

  8. hahaha….poor Sergio! Will he EVER live that down?! I think not. :p

    And ditto what debsen said.

  9. doesn’t the World Cup look tiny next to the Eurocopa?

The World Cup may be small, but it is much much prettier than Euro Copa!

Agree with Debsen on the witty commentary! Thanks for the laugh :)

  10. nothing better on Monday afternoon after the busiest weeks of the autumn than seeing Iker next to the cups. I will have to watch the final of WC again, or better – the second half only and the OT, and I bet, I will cry again;-)
