more on the Portugal-Spain friendly

We’ve been hearing a lot about what the RFEF celebration on Nov. 15 is going to be like, but what about the Portugal-Spain friendly?

VDB will reveal his list of players called up for the game today (Paulo Bento revealed his yesterday; find it after the jump).  And, since the game is supposed to be a gesture of support for the Iberian World Cup candidacy, the players from both teams will come out on the field with a big sign in support of the candidacy, in addition to wearing shirts with the logo, and a special emblem on their jerseys.

Plus, the captains of the teams (Cristiano and Iker) will read a little manifest in support of the candidacy.  I can’t wait for that moment!  Or the hug between them!

Portugal’s called-up players for the friendly:

Goalkeepers: Eduardo and Rui Patricio.
Defenders: Bruno Alves, Fabio Coentrao, Joao Pereira, Pepe, Ricardo Carvalho and Bosingwa.
Midfielders: Carlos Martins, Joao Moutinho, Manuel Fernandes and Raul Meireles.
Forwards: Ronaldo, Danny, Postiga, Hugo Almeida, Nani and Varela.
