the runway at Las Rozas

As you know, I always like seeing what the players wear when they show up at Las Rozas, because the fashion sense of footballers continuously amazes and amuses me.

Yesterday, I was neither very amused nor very amazed, which means that the players actually looked quite normal!

Pablo fit right in, wearing footballer-approved brand DSquared.  Joan opted for a plain polo (though in purple!) and Borja wore a low-key (and wallet friendly) tee from Energie.  Álvaro, on the other hand, showed off yet another D&G t-shirt, this one with James Dean on it (his previous D&G movie star shirts featured Marlon Brando and Steve McQueen).  Matching LV luggage completed the outfit.

I didn’t like Iker’s outfit, but I’m so used to his fashion follies that he doesn’t surprise me anymore.  I’ll just say that either he was finishing a paint job before heading to Las Rozas, or his shirt is supposed to look like that.  I hope it’s the former, because if it’s the latter, someone needs to get their fashion license revoked.  Not a fan of the bag either, but he did pack lighter than anyone else.  And both Iker and Álvaro had a shopping bag from the Real Madrid store in hand as they walked into the residence; I wonder what’s inside?  Meanwhile, Xabi looked quite perfect, as usual, and Pepe was Pepe (this is a compliment) with his Pepe bag.  Bonus points for the full wheelie suitcase!

More on Iker – you’ll see in a minute why I put this after the jump.

This was the bottom of Iker’s jeans.  Yes, he rolled them up again, just like he does to his other jeans, and his shorts!

Sergio looked pretty good – the hair is looking really nice – …

… until he turned around and I saw the back of his shirt.

He was holding a shopping bag too.  There must be something fabulous in there!

And Fernando Llorente has made it a habit of showing up in Adidas t-shirts.

The Barcelona crew was looking quite good as well, although, Sergio Busquets, I hate A&F, and I’m not sure what’s going on with your jeans.

Do they all have matching suitcases?

And Santi’s outfit made me smile (his big smile helped too).  I don’t think it would work on a taller person.

  1. oooh, Sergio! I agree, the front was fantabulous until I saw the back of the shirt. But anyway, I could watch the vid of him walking for hours. Damn hot.

Xabi – Good Lord, he’s perfect!

  2. i thought the same thing about the barca boys suitcases… too much togetherness?

and omg, iker’s bag… no words for it :) and doesn’t alvaro get teased about his lv luggage? i’ve never understood why lv is so popular. related to that, i have a question, why is dsquared so popular among the players? the shirts look normal to me.

by the way, i really love how spanish players never act like spoiled brats… they always take care of their own stuff, and even load their suitcases into their bus on their own.

    • re: lv attraction

      lv lasts a long time.

but i’m thinking it was a sponsorship that’s why they seem to all have it.

  3. For a moment there I thought Pablo in the first pic was Dahveed Villa! Well, Xabi is pure class as usual. Iniesta looks like a little boy – adorkable. Iker is Iker *shakes head* but the rest of the boys all look so unpretentious and cute! (I’m going to overlook Arbeloa’s LV luggage) Love them <3

  4. Xabi is perfect as usual. I’m really digging his jacket, it’s quite different from what all the other Roja boys are wearing. Sergio’s got too much hair gel going on and his shirt is hideous. I thought Iker’s outfit was okay until I saw pass the ankles lol. Maybe it’s just me but the LV suitcases just seem a bit gaudy. And it’s nice to see Puyi again, my favorite cule.

For all you Xabi lovers out there, click on this hawt gif of him in the Deportivo game: http://i54.tinypic.com/v3qdxt.jpg
    Nice and see-thru. You’re welcome.

  5. Joan looks so italian style … I don’t normally like stubble, but it becomes Joan :) and if I were a photographer in some fashionable magazine, I would make a super caliente photosession of him… involving sea, sand and wet hair… ;)) I’m sure he would look no worse than Sergio or Villa in their sexy photosessions ;)

  6. I’m surprised not to see Villa with the Barca boys. I wonder what he was wearing.

  7. I thought Pablo was Villa, as well! Holy hell, they sure do look alike from the side…
    Arbeloa looks so good. ;]

  8. Best: Xabi, perfect as always. Pepe, simple and effortless. Puyol–yeah it’s just a plain tee and jeans, but they fit him perfectly, and he’s just not a designer label sort of guy.

Worst: All that prefaded, prestressed denim. Really? Is it the 90’s again so soon?

    And Pique looks surprisingly normal.

  9. Xabi looked PERFERCT!!!!!!!!!!…..and Iker….when will you stop rolling up your jeans???? I hate when people do that….and Geri Pique also looked pretty good to me…but he always looks good…and footballers should really start to diversify and stop wearing those “adidas” t-shirts, almost every football players has like 20 “adidas” t-shirts…and Santi is really cute, but hey, what’s up with those jeans???

  10. As I was scrolling down, I had a hunch that the post was a bit too good to be true..until I saw the rolled up jeans. To mask my disappointment, I’m gonna resort to the idea of Iker not wanting to blind us all if he walked out of his house in gorgeous clothes that he actually picked himself.
Seriously, Iker’s outfits would make great halloween costumes.

Aah yes, Xabi *opera choir singing in the background*. Remember days back in primary school when the entire class seemed useless except for one little teacher’s pet who got everything right? Yup, that’s handsome Xabi in my eyes. Nonetheless, I still wouldn’t mind giving him a little spanking ;)

It’s times like this where I really wish I was tiny enough to fit into carry on bags..possibly like the one El Ramos is dragging along behind him :D As for the shirt, when in doubt, just imagine him shirtless.
Pepe, Alvaro and the Barca boys are looking quite handsome as well.

  11. Oh God where is Cesc?

  12. Oh, Sergio…

Really, it was all good until I saw your back. Can’t Xabi give you guys a master class in dressing like a GQMF?

Piqué seems to be buying his shirts a size too big, and Santi – just. Please. Leave the plaid to the professionals, and those jeans to the rag bag!

Perhaps this should be called “Runway at Las Rozas: Denim Disasters”, because apart from Xabi and Piqué (possibly Sergio?), those are some funky jeans!

  13. Xabi and Pepe looked sooo good. Xabi always does but I especially loved Pepe’s outfit. Everyone else was an alright with me. What I don’t understand is how they get their own personal team barber but not a stylist…someone needs to tell these boys the truth.

  14. xabi is perfection as usual. and pepe looks great! but i actually like sergio’s outfit! i mean the shirt cud be better, but then again it could be much much worse! and he looks soo delish!

  15. I wonder what happened to all of the LV luggage? If I remember correctly, at least half of them had those tacky LV luggages during the WC. Maybe they finally realized LV is tacky, extravagant, and flashy – probably not an image most of these boys want to be associated with.

Capdevilla actually looks quite good with the beard – I like it!
Marchena looks so happy with his grin and the peace sign – adorable :D

  16. hey una,

i remembered you when i saw this commercial. :-D

  17. oh and i think the madridistas brought along goodies to give away to their opponents and/or “kids”.
