Sergio talks to Marca

If AS got Iker’s first interview since the World Cup, then Marca bagged Sergio Ramos’! Where can I apply for that position where the main job is to follow Sergio wherever he goes?
If you’re a Madrid fan, go here for the portion of the interview dealing with Sergio’s thoughts on his club.
Anyway, this is what our Indio de Camas had to say about his World Cup experience.
I hate to keep on repeating myself, but there are people out there ignoring me. Please credit Marca/this blog if you reproduce the interview or repost the picture elsewhere!
Q: Your first interview as the new champion of the world…
A: Yes, the truth is I feel super proud. I think we achieved a dream that we’ve had since we were kids. We’ve always seen players from other countries lift up the Cup, and when you’re lifting it up… it’s incredible!
Q: What did you feel when you had the World Cup in your hands?
A: It’s very difficult to explain. Having it in your hands is the maximum, above all because it signifies representing Spain and making the country happy, which I believe was needed.
Q: At what point did you all see yourselves as champions of the world?
A: The truth is until you lift up the Cup, you’re not conscious of everything. There’s always the hope of achieving it, seeing it get closer, observing how hopes are rising… We knew that we were serious contenders to be champions, we knew what level our team played at, the quality of our team. But we had to go step by step, working hard until we got to taste success.
Q: What do you think has been the key to the success?
A: Without a doubt, hard work, humility and sacrifice. It was also important to have confidence in ourselves and in the work of del Bosque. That brought us success.
Q: What is the challenge for the national team no, after winning the World Cup?
A: For the moment, we’re just going to enjoy the title. It’s clear that we’ve achieved something very difficult, but we have to continue aspiring to win more titles. We should continue with the same hope to keep winning, so that one day people will say Spain was a dynasty. And that they played like no one else did.
Q: And how do you feel about wearing that star on your chest?
A: It’s the reward for a lot of work, many years of sacrifice, of training sessions… The star symbolizes for all time that you were champions of the world. I think that’s the best recognition anyone can aspire to. It’s a tremendous source of pride.

I don’t mean DO like do. I mean. You know. Interview.
Leave the doing to me :D HAHAHA
what happed to other posts you posted (obut guys fro technical stuff and so?)?
What?
First let me say that, it’s FANTASTIC that you can translate all of these articles. It’s awesome for those of us who don’t speak spanish. I just have one question. I’m not sure what word you’re translating from spanish into “maximum” but it seems like the word “ultimate” might work better. For example, instead of, “Having it in your hands is the maximum”, you could say “hoaving it in your hands is the ultimate”. That being said, it’s just a suggestion. I’m not at all attacking you and your wonderful translations. Just a suggestion. Keep up the fantastic work!
and VIVA ESPANA (I’m a Germany/US gal myself, but I can ALWAYS make room for Spain – especially Xabi)
Thanks, the Spanish word is “máximo” and I think “greatest” would actually work better now that I look back on it.
