time for kiddie pictures!
This one goes under useless information that you’ll probably remember forever. Or until the next game of Spanish national team trivial pursuit (don’t laugh, Marca produced a Real Madrid trivial pursuit game in the past, and I saved a card from it in which one of the answers is “Iker Casillas.”)
In any case, I don’t need an excuse to post pictures of our players from a time when they were younger and more adorable, right? Check out Cesc and Iniesta’s full heads of hair. Fernando Llorente has changed the most, while Fernando Torres basically still looks the same, i.e. he was and still is el niño, and Gerard looks like a baby.
Anyway, AS tells us that five of the players on La Roja played in the Brunete Tournament: Torres, Iniesta, Cesc, Piqué and Llorente. (Sergio Canales did as well). Torres and Iniesta played in the tournament back in 1996, with Fernando scoring three goals. Andrés was playing for Albacete at the time. In 1997, Llorente was a participant, scoring six goals in the process. Piqué and Cesc defended the colors of Barcelona in 1999 and were the runners-up (more from the 1999 tournament here.)
