three and a half minutes with… Xavi Hernández

I don’t know how long it will take me to produce the celebration posts, since I really want to enjoy this moment (and because no help is going on), so in the meantime, read the Q&A with Xavi!  It’s not as good as his famous one from the World Cup, but then again, nothing can top that one.

1.  What makes you angry?  Injustice, insincerity, lies…

2. How much are chickens these days?  I don’t know; Cholo, my flatmate, does the shopping.

three and a half minutes with… Sergio Busquets

Sergio Busquets was the latest player (and probably the last, although I hope not) to do the El País Q&A.

1.  What makes you angry?  Injustices.

2. How much are chickens these days?  Between five and 10 euros per kilo.

three and a half minutes with… Andrés Iniesta

It seems like Andrés Iniesta really thought about some of these questions before giving his answers!

1.  What makes you angry?  Injustice.

2. How much are chickens these days?  More or less, a bit over two euros.  And roasted chicken costs between seven and eight euros.

three and a half minutes with… Iker Casillas!

It wouldn’t surprise me if Iker Casillas conceded to do the questionnaire just so he could answer the question about twitter (number 34).  And how does Luis Martín expect everyone else to know how much Iker weighed when he was born, if Iker himself does not know?  Plus, I liked the way the Q&A ended, with Iker’s quip.

1.  What makes you angry?  Injustices.

2. How much are chickens these days?  I don’t know.  I usually buy chicken breast, not chicken by the kilo.

three and a half minutes with… Cesc

It’s Cesc’ turn!  I find it interesting that he uses his left hand to write, yet his right to bowl (and his right leg to kick a football).  I say that because I’m also left-handed, but I bowl with my left hand and kick a football with my left leg (but play racquet sports with my right arm).

1.  What makes you angry?  You!!!

2. How much are chickens these days?  It depends.  For eight euros, and on Sundays, you can eat pollo a l’ast.

three and a half minutes with… Javi Martínez (!!!)!

Javi Martínez (!!!) was the next one to do the Q&A, and he did not disappoint, much like his very amusing Q&A from two years ago!  I adore his answer to the Karanka question, and if he knew the answer to the Iker question, how did he get it wrong?  Maybe someone decided to trick him…

Plus, he looks fantastic with glasses, no?

1.  What makes you angry?  Losing at Play.

2. How much are chickens these days?  I don’t know.  My mother is a butcher and she gives it to me for free.

three and a half minutes with… Fernando Torres

“El Niño smiles and his freckles sparkle.  He warns about how little he likes these things.  And he lied when he said, ‘I’ll say many stupid things.’  There weren’t that many.”  That’s the introduction to this Q&A with Fernando Torres.  I love his wild guesses!

1.  What makes you angry?  Uf, many things.

2. How much are chickens these days?  2000.

3.  Do you have good handwriting?  Yes.

4.  Do you like croquetasI love croquetas.

5.  Does your cousin carry a risk?  Of course.

6.  How many goals has Villa scored for Spain?  200.

7.  Where is the Antiguo neighborhood?  In Cornellà.

8.  Have you tried Iniesta’s wine?  No.

9.  What position did Mata’s father play?  As a winger.

10.  What is the purpose of a crankshaft?  So that storks can perch.

three and a half minutes with… Juanfran Torres

Juanfran was the next player to answer these strange questions.  Did you know that his hometown, Crevillente, is also known as the “city of carpets”?  I’ve been there quite a few times as a good friend is from there, and signs proclaiming the town as the “ciudad de la alfombra” are everywhere.

1.  What makes you angry?  Envious people.

2. How much are chickens these days?  I don’t buy it, it’s bought for me.

3.  Do you have good handwriting?  Yes.

4.  Do you like croquetasI love them.

5.  Does your cousin carry a risk (a play on words on the phrase “prima de riesgo” – risk premium – since “prima” also means female cousin)?  No risk.

6.  Why do we close our eyes when we sneeze?  Because we’re Spaniards.

7.  How many goals has Villa scored for Spain?  Many, he’s the top goalscorer.

8.  Where is the Antiguo neighborhood?  In the Canary Islands?
