the most-watched play of the World Cup?

It’s almost that time of the year again – the Fallas in Valencia!  And of course, one of the biggest events in Spain from the previous year had to be represented in this year’s edition, at the moment as “ninots,” although I’m sure they will turn up in the fallas as well.  But no, it wasn’t even Spain winning the World Cup, but rather the kiss between Iker Casillas and Sara Carbonero (por cierto, she would never wear a pair of shoes with such low heels and no-ugliness factor).  The sign below the figures say, “the most-watched play of the World Cup.”

The Ninot Exposition, which was opened yesterday, show parts of the sculptures that will be integrated into the festival, which starts on March 15 this year, and runs through March 19.  In addition to multiple ninots of Iker and Sara, there were also ninots of Iker alone, Vicente del Bosque and Paul the Octopus.

If interested, head here to see how Real Madrid was represented in last year’s edition.

  1. Las Fallas is the coolest thing ever! Amunt Valencia, both the team and the city.

(Although it’s missing two David ninots :/)

  2. hahaha, that’s super cute – the most watched “play” of the World Cup!! ;) and I see Paul is in love with Sara and jealous!!! ;)

  3. Am I the only one to find this a little scary?

  4. I’m glad Spain won the world cup for the first time in the countries history which is beyond EPIC and they consider the most watched play to be that kiss? Sad day for Spain if that’s the case. :( I apologize I do not mean to sound insensitive, but lets be realistic here 1st TIME WC WIN. I think that holds more merit than a kiss. lol

  5. Hi Una, I have a ? that I’m a little curious about. I was just wondering do you personally watch Sara on her news cast?- I mean is she fun to watch? Is she a good reporter? I’m just wondering because there seems to be a lot of hype regarding her.

  6. Hahaha, how hilarious!! I hope that one of these will be saved from the fire and exhibited in the museum for when I visit Valencia again! I just have to see that! :)
